In lessons, all students study the technical elements of piano or voice, as well as two or more selections to be prepared for a public recital in any capacity during the spring.  At least one selection must be the instructors choosing; however, the student may choose the second performance piece on his or her own, and perform it with the instructor's approval. 

In addition to lessons, students may be asked to participate in master classes, festivals, or other musical clinics.
