Photography is an investment in preserving our most precious
memories... and Sloan Images' Photography offers different
options to suit your needs.
Please
call: 402.201.2403 if you have questions or to reserve your
session.
A
Typical Session --
Your session can take place at my home studio, or at an outdoor
location of your choice in the Omaha-Metro area. Most sessions
last 1-2 hours, depending on your needs. Newborn sessions
typically run longer and Seniors should plan to "spend the day,"
or atleast the morning or evening…
I
want you/your child to be as comfortable as possible, so breaks
for snacks/bottles are OK and encouraged. I will try to make our
session together fun and relaxed, so we’ll just take our time and
follow your child’s lead.
Approach
--
The best recorded moments are those when your child is relaxed and
being themselves. I attend to your child while they are revealing
their true nature. Specifically while playing or exploring. I
strive to capture the images that will last a lifetime. I will do
casual poses, but mostly I will acquire the magazine style
appearance, in a candid manner. By the end of the day, I hope to
have revealed the inner beauty and natural essence of their true
self.
What to Wear --
Children photograph best in solid-colored, simple clothing. Please
try to avoid busy prints or logos on clothing, as these draw
attention away from your child. Feel free to bring several
clothing options. I love photographing children in bare feet, and
babies in bare skin. As a general rule, I prefer not to rely on
props unless it enhances the image.
Setting --
Most portraits are created on location. Choose your favorite
setting, which can include your favorite garden area, at a park or
even in the comfort of your own home. In the colder months, if an
indoor location is not available to you and your family, a
home-based location can be provided.
Sessions --
I
allow plenty of time between scheduled sessions, and never rush. I
take my time to get to know you and your child so that he or she
is at ease and comfortable.
Booking Your Session --
To
book your session, please contact me by phone or e-mail. If you
need pictures for a special occasion, such as Christmas, Father’s
Day, etc., please try (though it isn’t required) to book
your session at least 6 weeks in advance. Please consider your
child’s schedule when booking your session, such as naps, meals,
or long days. Session fees are due at the time your session is
booked.
Proofing --
Your proofs (apx. 24 per every hour of shooting) will be available
as a slide show on a private section of this website within five
days. Your gallery will be available for viewing for 2 weeks.
Once you’ve had time to review the proofs, we will meet as
scheduled to finalize your print order.
Ready to Order?
If
you choose to opt out of our personal proofing session, my
preference is that all ordering is done online whether I am with
you at my computer, or you are alone at yours.
The process is simple and the order is detailed with a thumbnail
(small photo) accompanying the description. You and I both get to
see the final order and the total cost at all times.
Payment can be accepted a number of ways. Please advise of the
method you prefer; however, all payment is due when the images are
ordered.
PayPal is my online credit and check processor. If you prefer to
pay with check or credit card, please do so though the online
forum.

As
a parent, I understand that kids can get sick with little notice.
